I love crispy fried chicken it is one of my favourites but it is very unhealthy full of fat which is not what I want to stuff in my face. So I decide to try and make a healthier version of it. I make the chicken crispy with breadcrumbs and cooking them in the oven.
Ingredients
2 Slices of Wholemeal bread (Made into breadcrumbs)
1 Egg
1 Chicken Breast
Some Flour
1 tsp of paprika
1 Tsp of Cayenne Pepper
Salt
Pepper
Lettuce
Garlic
Mayo( for healthier version go for low fat or even yoghurt)
Red Pepper
Onion
Tortilla Wrap
So Here is How I Make Them
1. Cut the chicken into strips and add to a bowl of flour that has been seasoned with salt and pepper, cover the chicken with the flour
2.Add the chicken to the whisked egg making sure the whole strips are covered
3.Mix together thebreadcrumbs, cayenne pepper, paprika,salt and pepper, add the chicken to the breadcrumb mix covering the whole strip.
4.Place in a baking tray and place in the oven at 200 degree celsius for 20 minutes
5. Mix together the garlic and mayo and place in the centre of a tortilla wrap, add your lettuce, pepper and onion
6.Place the chicken on top of the salad and the chilli sauce on top
7. Roll up the wrap and enjoy
You can add whatever you want to this wrap and experiment with the spices
